Prompt Vault · Plan and decide

Compare two AI views of a decision

Use disagreement between two answers to examine the reasoning.

A real decision with context and two separate AI conversations.

Your next step

Try it for yourself

You’ll need: A real decision with context and two separate AI conversations.

Paste the same opening prompt into two separate AI conversations.

Here's a real decision I'm facing: [the decision, with the context that actually matters].
What should I do, and why?

Two AIs argue your decision, round after round, until only the strongest case survives.

Preserved from the original Prompt Vault. The active series restarted with the Semantic Tree Learning Navigator and the YouTube Action Plan.

The prompt, ready to paste.

Prompt
Here's a real decision I'm facing: [the decision, with the context that actually matters].
What should I do, and why?

Replace anything in [brackets] with your real thing. The prompt is deliberately short — resist the urge to pad it.

Paste each answer into the other AI

Prompt
Another AI said this about my decision: [paste].
Attack it. Make the stronger case.

Repeat, round after round, until they start repeating themselves — that’s the signal. Then:

Prompt
Fuse the strongest surviving arguments from every round into one recommendation.

When to use it.

A real decision you can't see around — pricing, moving, quitting, killing a project.

Why it works

One AI tells you what you want to hear. Two AIs attacking each other's answers strip away everything weak — and when they start repeating themselves, the argument is done. The fuse step forces one recommendation instead of a debate transcript.

The method, step by step.

  1. Ask two different AIs the same question
Give both the real decision with the context that actually matters, and ask each what you should do and why.
  2. Make them attack each other
Paste each AI's answer into the other one: “Attack it. Make the stronger case.” Repeat round after round until they start repeating themselves — that's the signal.
  3. Fuse the survivors
Ask either AI to fuse the strongest surviving arguments from every round into one recommendation.

How I actually use it.

I ran a six-round debate on whether to delete twenty thousand lines of my own code. What survived was better than either side's opening argument. We deleted it all.

The video for this one drops on @espoai — the page is live so the prompt is yours already.

The same method, pointed at real situations.

For a pricing decision

Prompt
Here's a real decision I'm facing: I charge [current price] for [what you sell] and I'm considering moving to [new price]. Here's what my customers are like and what my costs look like: [context].
What should I do, and why?

For a job offer

Prompt
Here's a real decision I'm facing: I have an offer at [company] for [role and comp], against staying at [current situation]. What actually matters to me: [context].
What should I do, and why?

For killing a project

Prompt
Here's a real decision I'm facing: I've spent [time/money] on [the project] and it's [current state]. I'm deciding whether to keep going or kill it. Context that matters: [context].
What should I do, and why?

  • Legacy №002 Steelman My Enemy: Before the hard conversation, make AI argue the other side at full strength.
  • Legacy №008 The Tenth Man: If nine agree, the tenth must argue the other side. Nobody wants that job — AI will take it.
  • Legacy №003 The Pre-Mortem: Read the obituary before the funeral — make AI write the story of how your plan failed.
